Fair trade for a sustainable tomorrow
We are launching a new Erasmus+ Youth Exchange project on fair trade, bringing together 35 young people from Hungary, Spain, Portugal, Romania and Estonia. Through hands-on, non-formal activities, participants will explore global trade systems, develop critical thinking and create awareness-raising tools for their communities.

The project will take place in December 2026 in Eger, Hungary, bringing together 35 young people aged 18 to 30 from five European countries: Hungary, Spain, Portugal, Romania and Estonia.
The idea was born from a simple observation we made during our local workshops and previous mobilities: young people care deeply about sustainability and social justice, yet global trade systems often feel distant and abstract to them. We drink coffee, eat chocolate and wear fast fashion every day without knowing who stands behind these products. This exchange aims to bridge exactly that gap.
Over 8 days, participants will dive into the world of fair trade through hands-on, non-formal educational methods, no lectures, just learning by doing. Activities include the Chocolate Simulation Game, where participants experience supply chain inequalities firsthand, Debate Corners and Ethical Dilemma Cafés to sharpen critical thinking, a Producer Voices Theatre Lab to build empathy, and Campaign Design Labs where participants create real awareness-raising tools they can bring back to their communities.
The project is built around meaningful participation: young people are not passive recipients but active co-creators from start to finish. Daily reflection sessions and Youthpass documentation support each participant in recognising their personal growth throughout the experience.
We are implementing this project alongside four partner NGOs: Asociación Aswana (Spain), Associação Colony of Creators (Portugal), Asociatia EurOpen (Romania) and Active Youth Organization (Estonia), all sharing our commitment to non-formal education and Youth empowerment.
Stay tuned for updates, participant stories and outcomes as the project develops. If you are interested in getting involved or learning more, feel free to reach out to us!
